I have created a child portal, and uploaded documents to it - although the various database tables indicate that the document resides in the child portal (DNN named it portal 2), when you try to open the document within the child portal, DNN navigates to the doc as if it were saved in the parent portal (Portal 0), and doesn't find it - anyone else noticed this? If so, how do I resolve it?

I think you have uploaded the document using the File-Manager from the Host tab. If i am right then, try to upload the document using the Admin tab.
