I've found a strange bug with SQLView. If you use some other modules on the same page, and they do postback (for example Feedback, Ratings...), content of SQLView modules can disappear when postback happens. It is interesting that content disappears only in those modules which are before (in html code) the module with postback, and not those after it.
Few more clues:
only content disappears, not entire module,
it has nothing to do with container or user.

Got any idea why?

I can't say that I've heard of that problem before. I'll take a look and get back to you.

It seems like querystring of those modules is not executed when postback happens, and no results are returned (not even an empty table). Perhaps the best clue is that only those modules before the postback link are affected. It works fine if we reload page in any other way.

I just tested this on a sample site I have and it seems to work fine. I put a feedback and sqlview module on the same page and tested it with the feedback module both before and after sqlview and everything worked ok for me.

Try adding some footer or header text in sqlview options and let me know if that disappears as well, or just the grid.

Header and footer texts don't disappear, just the grid.
Bug happens with and without xslt stylesheet, so that's not the cause.
The problem is not in skin either - happens on all skins, even default DNN-Blue.

Are you using the latest copy of SQLView?

Few more clues:
Bug happens even with identical modules (same querystring and settings) one before and one after the Feedback module. Only the one before doesn't show the grid.
It has nothing to do with DNN tokens (eg. [DNN:TabId]) used in querystring - happens even with fixed values.

Can you export the content of your sqlview module and send to support at dnnstuff.com for me to take a look at. You can do this through the menu, 'Export Content'. Perhaps it's something with settings that you are using that I'm not using.

I'm experiencing the same problem. You can try to recreate it following these steps:
1. Use SQLView module as described here: http://www.dnnstuff.com/Articles/tabid/303/articleType/ArticleView/articleId/131/How-To-Use-an-XSL-file-with-SQLView.aspx (i had to replace SQLData with NewDataSet)
2. While logged in as host or admin click "Add New Module" (or "Add Existing Module" just to make some post) radio button on the DNN Control Panel
3. Grid is gone!?!

Any ideas?

I sent Vedran a new install to test this morning and haven't heard back. I'll post a new release as soon as I've confirmed it is fixed, probably in a day or two.

The best way to keep up to date with releases is to subscribe to my announcements feed located here, http://www.dnnstuff.com/desktopmodules/ntforums/rss.aspx?portalid=8&forumid=21&tabid=189&moduleid=977.

Thanks Vedran,

The fix has been posted in the new 4.0.3 release in the download section.
